The formula is free of parabens, glycerin, and propylene glycol, which are normally found in conventional water-based lubricants. Parabens and propylene glycol are both known irritants, causing adverse reactions in many women. Glycerin, a sugar alcohol, provides a good environment for Candida albicans, the most common fungal organism responsible for vaginal yeast infections.

Swede lowered the pH value to 4.5, which is the average vaginal pH. The formula is condom-safe and can be used with all sex toys.
